My dear Elenor, I must say I was taken aback for a moment when I saw an email from a former student ( and friend)that had as it's subject line,"Farewell"! So you are off to India to enrich your persona and savor that which will give greater root to your humanity and, hopefully, your great humor. If I may quote from The Other Tiger, by J. L. Borges: " I know these things quite well, yet nonetheless some force keeps driving me in this vague, unreasonable, and ancient quest, and I go on pursuing through the hours another tiger, the beast not found in verse". Have a great experience and be well. You are missed and always remembered. Mr. Davis
Brilliant Elinore, Vic and I are so proud of you. We have both read in entirety , yes really we have, all that you have written. Tomorrow we are going to an Indian Party , and will be thinking of you as we munch our way through various Vegetarian dishes. Well Goodness Gracious Me!! Eat your yoghourt. No Delhi belly.xx Ruth
I wasn't sure if you would get my last comment, so I was really exited to see it up on the screen. Wow I can blog!! I'm following you all the time and loving it. Don't forget YOGHOURT every day. Tried and tested by Indians. Really! XX Ruth
Went to see Slumdog Millionaire, so that I could truly appreciate some of what you are seeing. Absolutely fascinating! It is up for all sorts of awards, Bafta's, Oscars etc;try some prunes if you can get hold of them, but keep having the yoghourt. Love xxxx Ruth
